13、《A Whiter Shade of Pale》

出現(xiàn)電影：《海盜電臺(tái)》《玻璃之城》

《海盜電臺(tái)》里另外一首印象深刻的插曲就是《A Whiter Shade of Pale》，出現(xiàn)在“海盜船”觸礁下沉之前。悠揚(yáng)而激蕩的旋律完全覆蓋了船上的慌亂，猶余搖滾電臺(tái)往昔盛況的回味與現(xiàn)實(shí)窘?jīng)r的悵惘。而在《海盜電臺(tái)》之前，香港電影《玻璃之城》就已經(jīng)小試牛刀一把。在這首插曲的渲染下，男女主角牽手翩翩起舞，懷舊之情甚濃。

原曲簡介：《A Whiter Shade of Pale》是英國前衛(wèi)搖滾團(tuán)體Procol Harum在1967年發(fā)行的同名專輯中的主打歌。“《A Whiter Shade of Pale》開頭如神啟、空靈般的管風(fēng)琴旋律（據(jù)稱是借鑒了巴赫“G弦上的詠嘆調(diào)”之樣式）是最令人永難忘懷的，三十多年來有關(guān)它的傳說不斷，同時(shí)也是后代試圖探討或詮釋六十年代精神的最佳曲目。”雖然Procol Harum在60年代搖滾鼎盛時(shí)期只能算是一個(gè)影響力有限的小團(tuán)體，但是這首代表作可以說是影響了一代又一代歌者。后人比較著名的翻唱是莎拉·布萊曼（Sarah Brighman）的拔尖高音版。
